Course Reflective Narrative This class helped me to fulfil MLO 1 and 3. This class guided me to continue developing my language proficiency and increase my literary and cultural knowledge. This class was one of the most important ones for me because I increased my language proficiency and communicative skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing. In this class I had to do a presentation for my final project. This final project helped me to learn more about the Latin American culture. I did research about Chile and its history of independence. From the presentations of my classmates I learned about other countries such as Guatemala, Perú, Argentina, Cuba and many more. This project also developed my presentational skills in Spanish, I was able to present the information that I found in my research. This class helped my to improve my reading and writing. I learned that it is very important to read carefully in order to get the message correctly. The professor guided our learning by telling us that it was crucial to look up any word we did not know, this helped me to increase my academic vocabulary. My writing skills also improved, in this class I learned what a news report needs to have, the passive and active voice and many more elements that are useful for writing. For this class I wrote the synopsis of a movie, the professor revised my work and told me how I could improve my writing skills.Furthermore by watching the movie I was able to learn about the Mexican culture. The book we used for the course had a variety of cultural and literary texts. It was a great resource to learn about different cultures. Furthermore the resources I found for my research helped me to develop the knowledge about Hispanic cultures. The research findings allowed me to compare my culture and the culture involved with the country that I researched.
